Funny Wedding Stories and Wedding Disasters
Here are some funny wedding stories and some that are not so funny. It's ok if it was an wedding accident or disaster but if you plan these things then maybe you got the wrong wedding planner. And don't let these things happen to you if you have an upcoming wedding. It may not be funny if this was your wedding.
Someone Lets Out a Loud Fart During the Wedding Ceremony -- This probably can't be helped or it may be accidental. Unless your teenage cousins or little children plays a prank and makes a farting noise on purpose. In that case, someone should stop them and tell them this is a serious event.
Bride Falls off the Horse -- One couple decided to have a wedding outdoor on horseback. And after the vows, the bride's horse decided to take off and the bride ends up hanging off the side of the horse. Good thing she wasn't injured in the accident.
Make sure the DJ plays appropriate Songs -- I think someone mentioned that a DJ played the song "Sexual Healing" during a mother/son and father/daughter dance and it was awkward. Check with the DJ in advance to see what the song list is and what's going to be played at certain times.
Someone stepping on the Wedding Dress or Tripping over the Train -- Have the maid of honor hold the train up so the bride doesn't trip walking down the aisle.
Rainy Weather Spoiling an Outdoor Wedding -- Make sure you check the weather reports and have a back up plan if you plan to do an outdoor wedding in case of heavy rains and storms headed your way.
Las Vegas Casino Buffet Reception Gone Bad -- Imagine a dozen or so people in your wedding reception party eating at a cheap casino buffet dressed up in Tux and gowns. And the bride is wearing her wedding dress and train (that's being stepped on as she lines up to get her food). And scraps of food spilled on the floor that's getting on the bottom of her wedding dress. Yuck. And the flower girl and flower boy talking, crying, and making a mess at the table. The family and friends are toasting very loudly and ordering lots of alcohol and starting the party a little too early with the crowd of people staring (thinking that they are too loud and noisy but are too polite to say anything.) That's not the right place to have a reception.
Reception at a Las Vegas Bar -- This is a no no!! I witnessed this with my own eyes. The bride hopping on the bar stool in her wedding dress. Everyone drinking and ordering pupu platters. Loud, noisy, and lots of smoke in the bar. Not very romantic. The thing is they were a middle age couple so maybe they didn't want a fancy wedding invitation.
